Every pixel driven by hand-written LabVIEW FPGA code

A giant LabVIEW Project that uses a myRIO (RaspberryPi on Steroids) to generate the actual low-level signal for a VGA-monitor. There are no graphics libraries involved, everything has been implemented low-level on LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Real-Time. There are currently 4 different games that all also have been developed in LabVIEW from scratch. This was a big chunk of work. In the end I built everything into a small suitcase (myRIO, two Joysticks and buttons) and it works until today. For a while I want to update it, build a nicer case for it and program some more games, but I don’t dare to touch the code at the moment. Some day .. 😉

Geistreich or Geistlos?

In my novel Der Kurator, art is either geistreich — made with human spirit — or geistlos: generated, spiritless. Where exactly the line is, nobody in the book agrees.

For my own stuff I can answer it, case by case. So every project on this site shows how much of it I credit to AI:

There is no 10/10 on this site so far. A 10 would mean I wasn't involved at all in making it — and that hasn't happened yet. What a 10/10 project could be one day, and whether it would still be mine, is a question I find pretty interesting.

The number is my own judgement. You're welcome to disagree.
